Nutritional Snack Ideas
Wednesday, May 20, 2009 at 7:19PM Try some of these snacks to give you energy instead of eating sugary snacks and then crashing. It is always tempting to get a candy bar or cup of coffee when low energy sets in. These snacks below will not spike the blood-sugar levels the way things like candy or coffee will.
1) Low-fat cottage cheese with berries
2) Whole grain cereal with low-fat milk
3) Slices of avocado or turkey with whole-wheat crackers
4) A banana topped with peanut butter
5) Low-fat yogurt mixed with fruit and nuts
6) Hummus and carrots
7) A yogurt smoothie made with berries and/or bananas
8) Raw almonds, raw cashews and raisins mixed
